"Serving Up A Cure" Fundraiser @ KC Plaza Tennis Courts

Sunday, July 9th 2017
On Sunday, July 9th, many people came out & enjoyed a day filled with tennis, fun raffles, and live music from five incredibly talented local bands and artists at the Plaza Tennis courts.

The 4th annual Serving Up A Cure, created and organized by local high school students, is a tennis tournament in honor of Henry Freeman, a sophomore who dreams of becoming the next drummer with the Foo Fighters and loves to play tennis. Henry has cystic fibrosis (CF), a life-shortening, genetic disease. Every day, just to stay healthy, he must complete hours of treatments and take dozens of pills. Despite this, he never lets the disease dictate his life.

Serving Up A Cure combined Henry’s passions of tennis and great music to create an event that he would love and would raise money for CF research. They hold this event every year to make Henry's breathing treatments and handfuls of pills a thing of the past. Your donation could make "CF" stand not for "cystic fibrosis", but for "cure found". Breakthroughs are coming every day, but Henry is still waiting for his lifesaving treatment.
